Bipolar disorder presents as unusual, episodic changes in mood and energy called mood swings. These mood swings are very different from the usual mood and behavior of that person. They can have extremely high energy and reduced need for sleep at one point, called a manic episode. At another time, they may feel down, sad and hopeless, called depressive episode.
Depression is a mood disorder that affects how you feel, think, and the way you handle day-to-day activities. Post-traumatic stress disorder, PTSD, develops after experiencing or witnessing traumatic events such as gun violence, accidents, sexual assaults, natural disasters, domestic abuse, military combat, and etc. Symptoms includes flashbacks, nightmares, anxiety, fear, uncontrollable thoughts and memories about the event, and avoidance of situations that may trigger memories of the event. PTSD can significantly affect how an individual functions on a daily basis.
Insomnia is a sleep disorder that presents as trouble initiating sleep or staying asleep. Common causes of insomnia includes stress, poor sleeping habits, irregular sleep patterns, the use of certain medications, and mental health disorders such as depression and anxiety. For those suffering from anxiety and depression, insomnia will typically resolve once the condition is well managed. For others, the use of sleep aid may be the solution.
We accept insurance, and all major credit/debit cards for self-paying clients. Initial visit $200, follow-up visits $150, cancellation less than 48 hours to your appointment time, $50. Late arrival greater than 10 minutes may result in cancellation as a No-Show. There is a No-Show fee of $75. You are responsible for all copayments, coinsunrance, deductibles, and fees at the point of service. No refunds are given once service has been rendered.
